Minutes for April 20, 2008
April 21st, 2008This meeting will start with the old officers and then if the new officers have anything to add they are allowed to.
Service:
? April 19-20th- 30 hour famine was this past Friday and Saturday-you get 1 hour of service for every 10 hours you fasted
? April 17th-Earth Fest- took place this past Thursday we raised around $100
? April 28th- IUP Red Cross Blood drive was cancelled on the
? April 26-27th- Relay for Life 12:00 P.M.-12 P.M.- at the IUP Stadium
? Any candy left over and not sold at the Praxis will be sold at Relay for Life and the
o candy bars sold at Relay 4 Life will be donated to Relay 4 Life
? Tents are needed for Relay 4 Life if you have one let Erica know if we could use it.
? Big Hearts Little Hands- might not happen waiting on a reply from them
? April 19th- Painted Porches on Saturday for seven hours -
? April 2nd- still more porches needed painted if interested in painting porches
o stay after the meeting Time TBA
? Boy scouting- looking for a new advisor to become more active with the boy scouts
? Float for Homecoming next year- discussion will be brought up more next year
? if we do it we will be working with completely service organizations
? Got an email from Gamma Sigma Sigma- they are looking for a sweetheart for next year
? if you are interested go to their meeting tomorrow night at 9:30 in Elkin. Can be a girl or a
guy requirements to attend pled class meeting and their regular meetings
as a sorority.
? Service Meeting after the Brother Meeting tonight
? Rebecca wants to know who will be around IUP over the summer and interested in doing service projects. Let her know
Pledging:
? April 26th- Walkout from 11:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M.
o Maurie clue approver
o Erica go to clue approver - will be in Pratt Hall all day
o Pick up pledges and they will sing their song at the location we pick them up at
o We will all then go to Relay 4 Life and have a small gathering with some food
o that the pledges will prepare while they are hiding
? April 27th- Initiation- voting process will take place at 6:00 P.M.
o Wes is trying to get a room at the Hub for initiation
o Meet at the brother room at 6 P.M. unless you hear otherwise through our phone tree
? April 18th- Pledges had their service project
? April 19th- Their second day for service project was cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later
? date because of the conflict with the MS Walk that took place today
? April 25th- Final Evaluations- Pledges hand in their pledge books to Wes
? Leo: Everyone Passed Their By-Laws Tests
? Sean: Has some idea’s for rush next semester if you have any idea let him know
Fellowship
? April 21st- Social Meeting at 7 P.M.
? April 24th- Last Social - cleaning out brother room at 3:15 P.M.-
? Bring a change of shirt for pictures the same day which is 5 - 8 P.M.
Treasurer
? We have a little over $ 2,000.00
? Technically $ 1,000.00
? He has totals of how much each person owes with dues
Fundraising
? April 23rd- selling candy for Jessica’s Kids in the Oak Grove from 10-4 P.M
? April 26yh- Breakfast- 6:45 A.M.- 8: A.M. at the hub
? April 21st- Fundraising meeting at 7P.M. at the library
? Shawn- have any ideas for fundraising for next year let him know
Historian
? April 24th- composites from 5-8 P.M. at the Conamagh room in the Hub
? dress in black or a dark color top
Sergeant of Arms
? April 24th- 3:15 P.M. cleaning out the brother room
? Leo- Thanks to everyone who came to the BBQ it really meant a lot to Miranda
? Leo- Trying to get another room for next semester or trying to get a room in the Hub every Sunday
